Leatherby's Family Creamery in Midvale

I liked the little shop but I was disappointed that they didn't have a full menu like the Taylorsville location. I couldn't order the food that I wanted. I had to make an Almond joy a different way. It was good, but not the same. The employees were so nice. We tried the tamales, and they were actually pretty good. Only 4 stars because of the menu. Otherwise it was great.

Have you ever wondered why Americans are so obese? I haven't, at least not after stumbling into Leatherby's with a drunken hankering for dairy despite my lactose-intolerance._the single scoop. You might assume this would be a relatively small cone topped with a proportionately-sized scoop of ice cream. You would be wrong. Imagine a waffle cone somehow supporting an entire pint of Ben and Jerry's. That's the single scoop. It's delicious, and definitely a worthwhile (but very rare) treat.

Great place for ice cream. The location in Midvale also offers some great food.

Not quite the full menu as the other full size Leatherbys but they have some of the favorites and three or four small patio size tables. Amazing ice cream.

Ice cream was tasty. Didn't try any of the food options- homemade tamales were intriguing. I will probably be back to try some out.

We enjoy Leatherbys. We get one of the really big sundaes and share it. Prices are good.

No parking. The people were really nice, but the one street spot was already taken. I would drive a bit farther to a different location just to be able to park.

Girl was very nice place was pretty empty though. The mozzarella stick were good wish they were bigger but still good.

The two chicks were very cute. So I come in here rushed because it’s my last day there in Utah and I was recommended this place by my boss. I go in and tell them what they could recommend me to try since it’s my first time and the sweet girl mentioned to me her favorite. I saw “strawberry cheesecake” and immediately jumped on that. Asked for two scoops on a waffle cone. And Oh My Goodness... it was huge! I made sure to tell the gang behind me to order 1 scoop lol. Now I’m from Texas where everything is big, but my oh my! This ice cream shop was impressive and it came out to 5 bucks and some change!!

The best ice cream, and really fresh food. The dining area is very small (5 tables) so expect no seating during busy times. A little on expensive side, but i think it's worth it.

Food was great. There was a large party in front of us and we waited fir them to be seated, even though there were smaller tables available for the smaller parties.

This is not a typical Leatherbys- it's small and more like a mom and pop ice cream shop. Serves basic single scoops, milkshakes and sundaes. It does not offer the amazing ice cream options that is typical of Leatherbys. That said, the service was friendly and ice cream was good but it is very basic. Atmosphere is adorable.

This is one place you have to try! It is different from all other Leatherby's in that they serve tacos, tamales, and other Mexican food. I can't count the number of times I've been there, and I will keep going for sure!

Good customer service and love the small shop!

This place has gone downhill, didn't see the hard working Spanish guy that worked here and made the best street tacos and my ice cream always had plenty of Carmel when he made it! Ice cream wasn't the same either, I haven't been back in over 30 days

Small, poorly maintained (dirty) location with a much smaller selection than some other locations. The employees had to explain the ingredients of each sundae/item individually as they had no menu. Still delicious though!

Please bring back the tamales we miss them

Rocky Road ice cream was the best i have ever tasted only prob.here no parking lot my friends and i had to park on street 👎also only has about 5 tables good only for a tiny group.

This was our first time at Leatherby's. We will definitely be back. The ice cream cones were huge and the tamales and tacos were delicious.

Great place to eat and have great conversation. Like an old fashion ice cream bar. They also sell tamales that are so good! (how many ice cream places do you know that sell Tamales!)

Omg!!! Huge variety of delicious flavors. From crème au lait to pistachio or from Mexican spice to vanilla flavor, you have to like them. No way u get out without getting one of those little bit of lives.....

Small and good for a moment to enjoy ice cream with a special someone

Delicious home style meals that leave you full and satisfied. Partnered with some of the most decadent and delicious ice cream treats you can imagine. They have taste down. Unfortunately it’s very busy and service is slower than other places so I take one star off.

This place is pretty tasty! I wasn't digging it straight out of the gate, but once the ice cream softened up a bit I really enjoyed and would definitely give more flavors a try.

Leatherby's is the best ice cream place I have ever been to. They have the most amazing hot fudge and caramel sauce and cover your sundae with quite a lot of sauces. They're always so friendly there too. We go here all the time and definitely recommend it to others.

Sweet delicious ice cream. I have been going there for about 5 years and the ice cream seems to get better every time I go. The penut butter sauce fudge and Carmel is all made fresh and I would highly recommend the butter cup.

This place always has the best icecream! Toasted almond is my favorite.

Good place, fair prices. They sell more than Icecream too! Only thing I don’t like is that Icecream melted really quick... all three Icecream cones melted under 10 mins.

Best caramel ever!

Yummy! This place is more of a takeout shop. You order at the counter & they make your treat right in front of you in take our containers, while you wait. There are a few small tables for you and 3 friend's to sit and chat while you enjoy your tasty dessert. Not a fancy place, it's small so don't bring your soccer team. But when your in the mood for an over-the-top icecream creation, this is the place.

The best ice cream shop you'll fall in love with. The service is always amazing, love this cute little place. It's got absolutely delicious tamales, tacos and tasty salsa)) will have to stop in the next time I'm in town.
